Stress-Free Grooming, For Cats
Parents welcome to stay
Calm cats start with calm humans

We know how hard it can be to leave your cat - especially if they’re anxious, senior, spicy, or have had difficult grooming experiences in the past.
Your cat isn’t “just a pet”; they’re family.
And it’s completely natural to want to stay close.
At Catastrophe Cat Grooming, parents are always welcome to stay.
Why Your Presence Matters
- Cats are incredibly intuitive.
- They pick up on emotions, energy, and changes in routine - including how you are feeling.
- For many cats, knowing their person is nearby can be deeply reassuring.
For parents, staying allows you to:
- See exactly how your cat is handled
- Watch our gentle, cat‑led approach in real time
- Feel confident and at ease instead of anxious or uncertain
Transparency builds trust - and we believe you deserve to feel just as comfortable as your cat.
A Gentle Balance for Your Cat’s Well‑Being
While parents are welcome to stay, we also ask that you allow us to lead the grooming process once your cat is on the table.
Why? Because cats can sometimes become more anxious if they sense their human is worried, hovering, or feeling the urge to intervene.
Our role is to stay calm, neutral, and focused - and that steady energy helps cats regulate themselves.
You’re welcome to be present, observe, and ask questions - we simply ask that you:
- Remain calm and relaxed
- Avoid calling out, coaching, or restraining your cat
- Trust us to read your cat’s signals and respond accordingly
This creates the safest, least stressful experience for everyone involved.
What You’ll See When You Stay
When parents stay, they’re often surprised by what they don’t see:
- No force
- No rushing
- No restraints
- No sedation
- No pushing past a cat’s limits
Instead, you’ll see patience, pauses, communication, and respect.
If your cat needs a break, we take one.
If they’ve reached their limit, we stop.
Your cat’s emotional safety always comes first.
Staying Is Optional - Not Required
Some cats do better when their parent stays.
Others do better when their parent steps out and lets us build trust one‑on‑one.
There’s no right or wrong choice - only what’s best for your cat.
If at any point we feel that a cat may be more relaxed without their parent present, we’ll gently discuss it with you. Our goal is never separation - it’s comfort.
A Shared Goal
Whether you stay or step out, know this:
- We are always on the same team - your cat’s team.
- By welcoming parents to stay, we’re saying:
- We have nothing to hide
- We trust our process
- We respect your bond with your cat
- And most importantly, we honor the trust you place in us.
You’re welcome here.
Your cat is safe here.
